Trip and Event Journal with Expense Tracking provides a comprehensive tool for documenting travel experiences and managing associated costs. The application enables users to record detailed notes and expenses, capturing small moments that contribute to the overall experience. Its advanced features allow for the inclusion of photos, GPS coordinates, weather conditions, and relevant internet links within each entry. Upon completion, users can generate a PDF report encompassing their trip details, which can be stored in cloud services, printed, or shared with others.

The feature set is fully accessible in the free version, suitable for short-term travel. However, it imposes certain limitations: only two active trips can be maintained simultaneously, each trip can contain up to 25 notes or expenses, only one foreign currency is supported, and modifications to expense categories are restricted. Upgrading to the Premium version removes these restrictions, offering unlimited entries and currencies.

Note management includes the ability to attach up to three photos per entry and automatically detect GPS location with the option for manual adjustments later. Users can also manually input weather data without internet connectivity and attach relevant internet links for additional context.

Expense tracking features include budgeting tools, with real-time updates on remaining funds across multiple currencies. Location data can be edited as needed. Users can add photos of receipts, attach internet links, and include short notes for supplementary information. Expenses can be flagged with a star to signify importance, and foreign currencies supported by up-to-date exchange rates facilitate accurate cost calculation. A filter system enables viewing expenses by payment method, currency, starred status, or category.

Support for over 90 foreign currencies is integrated into the app. When a new currency is added, current exchange rates are retrieved automatically; manual input of custom rates is also possible for both transactions and specific expenses.

The PDF report feature simplifies documentation by generating a formatted summary of the trip with a single tap. Users can customize the report to include weather data, location information, embedded internet links (which are clickable), and an expense overview. The generated report can be saved to cloud storage services, printed directly from the app, or shared via link. Integration with Apple or Google Photos allows attaching shared photo albums to enhance the visual aspect of the report.
